07/29/18 - I can't resist the temptation to 'tinker' with the design.
I've added a 30 degree taper the the edge of the Head Periscope "hat" and a mating socket that goes into the Head Top "inner".
The idea is to make the periscope self centering as it retracts into the head,

05/15/18 - Since the Version 0 Prototype I've made the following Additions & Changes:

To aid the builder in getting part orientation correctly I've added an 'index rib' to the design (green in the cad drawings).
It is slightly larger than the other ribs and the mating slots in the rings have been enlarged to match.
There is only one 'index rib' so that forces alignment of the rings. Also added is the traditional 'front of droid' holes in the rings.

Added an internal Shelf ring that is aligned with the joint between the large Front & Rear skin panels and the lower tapered skin panel.
The 'shelf' ring reinforces the joint between the skins and also provides a mounting location for Chopper's internal parts
(utility arms, periscope & slip ring).

Added gear drive teeth and bearing mounting holes to the Head Bottom ring for dome rotation.
See the information on the opening page about the mounting holes for the VXB bearings.

Added 'skin attachment blocks' to provide locations to anchor the ends of the skins.
For the large Front & Rear skins these are located in the Arm Boxes.
For the smaller lower skins these are located on the bottom ring at the front & rear of the head
(so that all of the skin joints are not in the same location).

Added relief cuts to the inside corners that were missing in the Version 0 parts.
Eliminates the need to file the corners to a sharp square.

Reduced the OD of the Top Inner to enable an easier fit. Added a Periscope 'Hat' to fill in the hole in the Top Inner.
Playing with a version of the Periscope Hat with a tapered edge to make it self aligning.
Reduced the OD of the head top sandwich to eliminate the need to taper the edge to get the skins to fit.

Added color to the drawings to make it easier to distinguish parts. Added notes to draw attention to features and changes. Added part references.

Added a 1 inch square on the drawing pages to help if you are trying to get 1:1 prints of the drawings.
